Movies like superbad and 40 year old virgin are funny in their own way, but they are so constant. I didnt really find superbad as great as most did, i dont like that Jona HIll guy much, hes like a lame version of Seth Rogan. Knocked up was much better than superbad to me because it had more heart and it wasnt just comedy.

Sure there are the occasional comedy Gems like Death at a funeral, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the dead and In Bruges, but I notice that the comedies I find the funniest are not American ones. Before the U.S put of alot of great comedies and spoofs, now spoof movies are mostly crap and satire is pretty much dead in terms of movie comedies. Thank you for smoking was one of my favorite comedies of the past few years because it was actually intelligent and didnt use stupid humor. Juno also had its moments, but overall I enjoyed thank you for smoking more. What do you guys think?

The best comedy to me is on TV these days. Shows like its always sunny in philadelphia are much better than any comedy movie I have seen in years.

The bad spoofs....that team of 'people' is going to get put down, one way or another. I don't want it to be me, but it might just have to come to that.

BUT, I think the majority of the sex comedies actually have some spirit to them. The American Pie spinoffs? Not so much. 40 YO Virgin and American Wedding? Very good movies, actually.

I've got to agree there are more comedic shows on TV than movies. I feel exactly the same with all the rehashed crap and spoof comedies, I guess writers have just run out of ideas. Oh well, heres hoping for an original comedy.

Those sex comedies are all from Judd Apatow right? I don't so much blame his movies so much as the rest of America's comedic movies being horrible.

Well Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam are still alive. And they directed all the Python movies. They should get the rest of the troupe together and make another one. :P

Everyone will just cut it up for no reason, Rambo and Die Hard style. Sad, isn't it?

Two and half men, sure it was funny with the sex jokes in the first episode but almost every freakin episode they have has a sexual reference even if it does'nt involve the plot. Seriously, all they do is talk about sex.

American wedding was terrible, Sean William scott is one of the most annoying actors I have ever seen. Unless you mean Wedding crashers, which wasnt that bad although Vince Vaughn is getting tiresome. its not that they are bad movies, its just that there are too many of them. I want to see some good airplane! style spoofs and more good satire's.

Also Will Ferrell and adam sandler are getting boring too, after seeing stranger than fiction and reign over me I hoped that they would do more interesting roles. Nope, after doing decent drama they go back to their usual goofy crap. At least Jim Carrey can do goofy and a more serious film like Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind. Steve Carrell should also be careful, he's starting to get tiresome to me as well.

Knocked Up is actually a good movie for almost everyone, Superbad may be for a more specific demographic.

Airplane is the pwn. Check out The Onion Movie.

And I meant what i said lol. American Wedding. I really like SWS, but he wasn't most of the reason I liked it. Didn't enjoy Wedding Crashers much, but what I did like was thanks to Wilson, not Vaughn.

The only movies I really want to see and end to are the Genre Movies. I liked the original Scary Movie but let's cut the crap, they just let Meet the Spartains out on DVD and now they've got a poster for this Disaster Movie thing. When will it end?

The topic of sex within comedy is already tired and dull. I'm sick of hearing lame sexual innuendos and cliched observations of sex. It's time American Mainstream comedy moved on to something different.

its alot funnier if you get the references and homages. Plus the dialogue was hilarious as usual. I thought it was better than shaun of the dead personally.

Hollywood seems to be like the Wii's game library. Every year there's plenty of shovelware, and also a handful of real gems, commercial hits or otherwise.

Bad spoofs: definitely. Seriously, the fact that Meet the Spartans was released makes me want to hurt something.

Sex comedies: As long as they are by Judd Apatow, I haven't had a problem with them. The most recent one, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, is one of the funniest movies I've ever watched. Me and my friends are still quoting it

Actually, if you consider Walk Hard a spoof, I liked that too. Not as great as other Judd Apatow comedies, but not nearly as bad as the box office results would lead you to believe...the movie tanked in theaters.
