At the moment I have really starting losing interest fast. Am stuck in uni exams and a load of other **** Am starting to realise that gaming although it can be fun it a total waste of time. I try and play guitar or read when am bored before I resort to gaming. Don't get me wrong though it has a time and a place.
I'm still into them, but I think I have started playing them less. I remember years back when I was still in school, I would play games on the N64 and PS2 for hours, all the time, and then just go to another game. Today I may still play a new game for a while if it's good, but then I quit and may not play any games for the rest of the day.
I also own a lot more classic games than new games. In fact, I only have four games for the PS3 and Wii, but almost 30 for the other systems I own.
I miss the N64 days, but there still are a few games that are almost as good as Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, ect.
Sometimes. Metroid Prime Trilogy has quickly gotten rid of that feeling though. :P Darth-CaedusSame. Buying Metroid Prime Trilogy was one of the greatest gaming purchases I've ever made. :D
That's because it's a fad, you need either a 360 or a PS3..or even try PC gaming.Yes, I haven't touched my Wii in about 3 months now

All the time , but i just put Batman into my ps3 and think am batman again. I like batman games i even loved batman :Begins for the ps2 and if i remember that correctly that was a piece of junk.
Yeah about last year... :( I bet I'll get into it in the next few years, this isn't the first time it's happened. Same thing happened when I went into middle school then I started getting into again in 7-8th grade.
I love gaming but I work full time and go to grad school too. So sometimes when it's a good time to play video games, I'm tired and end up napping instead. Breaks in school though are glorious for me. The winter break I beat ME (for the 3rd time), Uncharted, and played some Fight Night Rd4.
Yeah I lost interest too,I used to play xbox everyday, now only like once a week or once month even...idk y the magic faded away...
Gaming will never be like the old times. I remember the SNES/Genesis and PS1/N64/DC eras, how amazing it all was with AAA game after AAA game. Nowadays, that magic is over. I dont get excited about these games anymore and I dont know why. The only game I preorder this whole gen so far is Super Smash Bros. Brawl when I used to do it all the time back then. The 360/PS3/Wii just aren't delivering IMO. Same thing with last gen too and im afraid its going to get worse in the future.
I have had this happen before to me. I didn't quit playing them, I stopped for a bit. But then I started playing more often again.

Hmm, the exact opposite for me. I feel games are in general getting better (except for a few genres).

I have a 360, PC, and Wii and I REALLY wish I wouldn't have bought a Wii...

My point exactly, I own one too but I only use it for WiiFit a few times a week but apart from that it's unused...it's the same story with everyone, they bought the Wii because the loved the idea of motion control but then it either gets completely unused or it's only used at special occasions (like Christmas..whenever the family gets together).yes, I'm losing interest in actually playing games now. I still follow the industry because I do love it, but it just feels like there is no more originality out there. all the big budget titles feel the same and the smaller ones never last long enough. then again there is much more in life to direct my energies toward right now. though when times get bad I still pop in Wind Waker and just sail around and explore. the one game I will play at least once a year
I wouldn't say I've lost interest in gaming. It's just that as you get older, you have more responsibility thrown at you, and you have more stuff on your plate than when you were younger. I still play my games, just not as often.
It is rare a hobby lasts a lifetime, sometime you get fatigue and sometime you lose inttrest all together.
I sometime get "game fatigue" with months on end without ever starting up a game, but I eventually come back.
I do tend to play the more unique games I can find, or atleast games with unique mechanics or settings, since I am long past the point where I enjoy generic shooter # 50.
Movies I have all together lost inttrest in, they hardly evolve, and they reuse the same plots all the time, it was once my hobby, and my love for games might end due to the same reasoning.
