Anyone Ever Try This At The Dentist/Orthodontist?

I noticed today that there's sort of an unwritten rule that you don't look the hygenist in the eyes when he/she is cleaning your teeth/adjusting your braces. Has anyone ever stared at them without blinking or tried to catch their eye?

I do too, but mine doesn't really talk to me when she's cleaning my teeth. If she does, it's just a yes or no question that I can mumble an answer for.

Usually I just let my mind drift.

I don't think it would have much of an effect on my dentist considering the fact that he's my father and he's friends with my orthodontist. :P

What's the worst that could happen?

I stare at the lights and see how black it gets when I blink. It should be unconstitutionl to look them in the eyes. Some send that bill to congress! 15 years in prision!

I have never thought of that, I think I just stare at the light.

I kept my eyes open the other time but I normally look directly into the light, not at the person. Stareing at her face would of been like staring at your girlfriend while kissing her, you just don't do it. Oh and that's another thing...

I never look them in the eyes. I'm normally staring out the window or at the bright light. :shock:
