Anyone familiar with a female singer that sings a remixed tune of Yankee Doodle?

The Yankee Doodle Dandy song that is? I believe it's a female singer, just one, (but perhaps more who knows) who sings and while it's not immediately recognizable, the tune of her song is remarkably similar to Yankee Doodle Dandy.

Unfortunately I can neither discern the lyrics nor the name of the artist that sings it so am clueless as to how to find it. If there are music aficionados here, it would be quite helpful if they were able to locate the song.

Is her voice kind of soft and calming while she sings?

If it is I can kind of picture the sound of the song in my head.

Actually no, it's kinda upbeat. ish. I hear a... what's it called, when someone deliberately increases the tempo or speed of a song? Due to this the song sounds kinda fast and pop-ish, though she does sound kinda sad... in the sense that a couple of times, I could hear that her voice was almost breaking (I love when the voice almost breaks and it sounds so powerfully emotional, especially with a good voice)

Anyway just post your example, as it might be it. What I describe as I remember it in my head and what the actual song is may differ somewhat, so certainly when I hear it, I'll know it.

I can picture the melody of it, and can picture what the voice would sound like.

I was going to guess maybe something by KT Tunstall, but I'm picturing something softer sounding her. And I can't find a song that sounds like that from her.
