Anyone from Croydon ?

I'm currently studying electronics in Bulgaria and I'll be moving to Croydon,London in about a week with my parents

I wanted to ask how are the people there,is there a lot of crime,the nightclubs age limitations etc

Any feedback would be kindly appreciated
