what are anxiety attacks like?snakebeater3
You feel overwhelmed and just start to panic, maybe feel nauseous. It's very annoying.
you need to smoke a blunt.[QUOTE="killer5555666"]I have just been prescribed Klonopin for my anxiety and obsessive thoughts. Wondering if anyone else here gets them.irelevent
don't take that stuff, what you need to do is smoke a blunt.
You could that. Or just stick to your medication and doctor's orders.

Who would you rather trust, that foolish doctor? or that random guy on the gamespot forums. i hope you choose whats best for you.(Smoke blunt)
I guess the same would apply for you. Nothing wrong with the green, just saying if it's not his thing, stick with the doctor's orders.
Just ignore it without any medication. In the long run, this is the best way as it teaches you to overcome it. Two400
Not all anxiety can be cured.

you can learn to live with it though, thereby reducing the effect because you won't be scared that it happensyeah, he'd always take my lunch money.
but actually I did, but then I started growing a little thing called self confidence.
I am convinced that I suffer from mild anxiety. I don't get depressed but when I have to do something that makes me nervous I feel like I'm short of breath and constantly yawn and have to take deep breaths.
I've taught myself how calm down a little. I'm not bad enough that I cannot function (no one notices that I am anxious) nor do I need medication. But I can sympathize with anyone suffering from anxiety in any form.
I'm pretty sure I get slight anxiety when in any vehicle. I guess, once when I was little, I was sick and got in a car or plane and go threw up. I hate throwing up, so when I get in a vehicle I always have that thought on my mind and I start feeling nautious.

Getting anxiety attacks and having/not having self confidence do not necessarily go hand in hand...
Yeah. The point of them is that the feeling is uncontrollable, you can't just stop in the middle of one and say "Gee, wait, there's nothing to worry about!" and prance off.I'm with you bud, schizophrenia is like a permanent anxiety attack and I know a friend that gets bad ones as well. I haven't taken anything for them, but I've taken medication for other phychological things. Rule 1 is if it hasn't started working in a couple weeks then get rid of it because it will probably have the reverse effect.
Yeah, I used to in my teens... not so much now. I found certain breathing techniques to be the best way to get through an attack. One that works well - at least for me - is to breathe in for 5 seconds, hold it for 5 seconds, breathe out for 5 seconds, don't breath for 5 seconds - repeat. Do the counting in your head.
You're so focused on counting and slowing down your breathing that your body does start to calm down and you don't get caught up in oppressive thoughts.
