I've never went to a dermatologist, but after I started towash my face more gently, my face has cleared up some.
you mean neither?
[QUOTE="jakeboudville"]No I don't think I met someone with that serious of a problemsuicidalpoptrtEither have I...
I do have bad acne, but not too bad. I never went to the doctors to get a prescription for my acne and it's clearing up. I've had it since I was 10-11 and I don't have it too bad now, though I'm 16 now.
I just washed my face with regular soap and water. :? The products for using to get rid of acne broke my face out more so I just said screw it.
-_- Thanks to my mom and my dad's side of the family for the acne problem, mostly my dad's side.
Meh.. don't worry. Acne usually goes away when your around 19-21 yrs. If you think it is a big deal, you should go to a dermatologist. I am 17 and i just use a cream at night and wash my face with a good facewash twice a day. Never had scars though...
If so what exactly they give you to help get rid of your acne and how long until it was all gone? And if you had scars did they go away completly too or is it still visible?Oakland510_I have a few zits on my back and I went to a dermatologist and the nurse practitioner gave me some foam to put on my back in the shower, cream to put on my back after I get out of the shower and a pill to take once a day. It's working I guess, I don't do all the stuff I'm supposed to every day. And the scars...I have a few and I think unfortunately you're poop out of luck.

That seems to be pretty common. I never do anything special to my face, just give it a good scrub every couple of days in the shower, and yet I rarely have blemishes or breakouts.
And yet, my brother who has always been careful with his face, washes several times a day, and goes to a dermatologist pretty regularly, had trouble breaking out all the time. I suggested to him that maybe he was just paying too much attention to his skin and so he stopped washing so often. When he did, his outbreaks were way less severe and less common.
