Eat a balanced diet, don't skip a meal as your body will store extra fat as an emergency, exercise regularly like going for a walk everyday (usually 5km does me) and don't sleep too much or too little.

you're metabolism will adjust as you start to lose weight and actually slow down. so you'll burn less energy resting when you weigh less.. i'd say try to build up more muscle as it burns energy better. in the end its the same formula; burn more energy than you take in ( without starvation ) .. do that consistantly and you're body can do nothing but lose weight.

When you're a big guy like you said you were (def. no offense), it's normal for your body to loose a lot of weight initially and then just kinda stop. The last pounds will be the hardest

Congratulations on losing the 70 pounds first of all. The only tip I can give you is to keep up your current diet and exercise plan, but instead of breakfast have a slimfast. It'll kick up your metabolism early in the day and curb your appetite for a while. I've just recently started drinking these, so I'm not sure how could it works just yet, but it's all I can think of.

Limbs are extra weight. Remove them.

Also - fire is a very good way to remove weight.

Sometimes when I feel like I want to snack I'll reach for a glass of water or chew some gum for a while, and the urge usually goes away. I try to only keep healthy stuff in the house though because I know if there's anything sweet nearby I probably won't be able to resist it.

Play more DDR.

Seriously, some girl on this old forum I used to go to said she lost forty pounds because of it. Another girl (Lawlz, fat chicks.) also said she lost weight from DDR.

It's fun as hell, has some pretty good songs, (Kick the can now!) and helps you lose weight. Awesomeness.

Monitor your calorie intake. If your are not getting much excercise in a day try not to exceed 1200 - 1500 caloriesa day. If you are implementing a excercise regimen then a 2000 to 2200 calorie regimen. Monitoring calories and energy expenditure is a surefire way of losing weight. Oh and stay away from high fructose corn syrup, that stuff'll kill you.

Yeah, what I would say too is that you want to adjust your days. Like monday, tuesday, wednesday, only eat like 800 or 1000 calories. Thursday, eat around 1800 calories, and then Friday, maybe 2000 calories. Then saturday, drop back to 800 or 1000 calories for the next 3 days. Its a good way to mix things up...and even then, maybe do 2 days of restrictions, and then 1 day of eating like 1800 calories, and then 1 day of restriction...just keep changing the calories and days.

Your metabolism can't adjust to ANY value.

If it could, then no one would never have to eat anything.

You can lose weight not eating ANYTHING.

Simply BEING ALIVE burns calories.

This is why people stranded on deserted islands end up starving to death.

Walk around your house a lot, do push ups and sit ups, whenever you're going to get any vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidant, etc. Make it as low calorie and fat as possible, only go for fat and cals when you need them, for example, beans are a better source of protein than beans, but you'll still want meats for Vitamin B12, etc. That's the easy way, that doesn't require going out and doing ****.

Just eat a balanced diet and exercise, as long as you are healthy the weight number means about as much as the post count number
