This has been blown way out of proportion. Two random white men (aged 18-20) are not capable of killing 88 black people including the soon-to-be president, it's not logical and there is no evidence to back it up. Now if some 50 KKK members stole some tanks and amunition from a military base and then came after Obama and his supporters, I'd buy the story.

How can 2 armed white men in a speeding car have no chance of killing Obama, but Harvey Lee Oswald successfully killed JFK from range? Hes just a man, hes not that hard to kill.

True, I'm not saying they could have done it, with their planned robberies and such. But anyone else could, fairly easily. Pick up a gun, and shoot.

You're right, they probably couldn't have with their planned robberies and such, they would have gotten caught eventually without having attempted the assassination. If they had just planned to drive at him in a regular car as fast as they could, they probably easily could have killed him. Racists arn't that smart though, so no wonder they thought painting swastikas on their car was a good idea.
