OK, this is how this thread goes: You list your favorite comics, and describe whhy you think they are good and your favorite without spoiling anything, of course. I'll start mines later, i can't do it now since the text will look jumbled )gamespot has a glitch where my text will have no spaces in between sometimes(

Aquaman -

he's my favorite comic book character. Why? Because he's royalty and the struggles he's lived through I can relate to(being an outcast from his own people then growing up on land learning he has superpowers). He doesn't have a book right now, but I have almost the entire collection of Peter David's run and re-read them from time to time. He's currently appearing the big DC/Green Lantern event - Blackest Night.

Green Lantern -

Probably the best book DC is putting out right now. Geoff Johns is a master of characterization and his work since Rebirth has been getting better and better. Green Lantern focuses on Hal Jordan and John Stewart while the Green Lantern Corps. focuses on Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner(with the occassional Green Lantern Corp cameos).

Nightwing -

In my eyes Dick Grayson is better than Batman. He grew up being raised by the best teacher in the world(Batman) then went on to lead the Titan Titans. No character is cooler and as fun as Dick Grayson. His book Nightwing was cancelled because Batman died in Final Crisis, so now he's Batman, which is both a plue and minus.

Notable Mentions:

Jonah Hex, Spawn, The Losers, Walking Dead, and 100 Bullets

I'm currently on an Ultimate Fantastic Four kick. Them and Spider-Man - I really like what Marvel did with those characters in the Ultimate universe. Ultimate X-men, on the other hand... meh.

I'm an X-men fiend, and that doesn't really require much explanation. I'm a pretty big Marvel fan, as long as it's not the marvel zombies crap, and I love DC underbelly (anything Alan Moore is fantastic) Tons more obviously, but I'm pressed for time

I haven't read comics in a long time, but when I did, it was the usual Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, things of that sort.

Yes i am currently collecting the Bronze age green lantern co starring the green arrow from issue #76-#122 which in my opinion is one of the best and most controversial comic book runs for its time and as always the ads inside the old comics and a fun read as well.

Not really, though for his art project, my friend is doing a comic book theme, so he has bought a fair amount of comic books (Spiderman; Batman) and graphic novels (Watchmen; Sin City) to help him. They don't really interest me.

Yes I am. I actually made a thread about it in a union I'm a part of, SCU. If anyone is interested in the discussion of manga and comics they're more than welcomed to check it out.

Personally, I think Ben Grimm, aka The Thing of the Fantastic Four is awesome. Nothing like a Golem like superhero smashing bad guys. I'm also a fan of Nightcrawler, Iron Man, Human Torch, Deadpool, and Wolverine.

I also read DC comics as well. I've been wanting to collect the Sandman series.

Well the only recent comic books I've been enjoying right now are Kick-Ass and Blackest Night

Kick-assBlackest night

I amost of lost interest in comics after the trash that was Spiderman: One More Day to Brand New Day... before that, Civil War then on to Spiderman Back in Black and World War Hulk were great reads.

Other than that, I've been mostly picking up graphic novels:

- JLA: Tower Of Babel

- Batman Chronicles

- Witchblade/First Born

- Superman/Batman

and so on...

Yes I like comics. I'm a big DC Teen Titans fan, despite the fact I haven't actually read the comics I bought yet. I also enjoy reading the old Sonic the Hedgehog comics(from the early 90's) and I collect some other crappy comics that I usually pick up for 50 cents each from the comic book store. I also read manga(which typically is, comics) but I won't really get into that, though Akira is a must even if you don't like manga. Do you count graphic novels as comics too? Technically they're comics in my definition. In that case I like The Legend of Drizzt series, The Hedge Knight, and India Authentic.

I try to read as many as I can, but they are hard to find and there are so many choices.

My absolute favorite is Ultimate Spider-Man. The one where he is still in high school and is relatively new.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of comics. I read Marvel, DC, and Star Wars comics (published by Dark Horse). I don't like Indie comics (non-mainstream, which is basically everything but what I just mentioned).
