Anyone here becoming less of a gamer now?

Okay so I used to be a really big gamer. I would buy almost every major game that came out. I used to play videogames all the time. Now I really don't. It started at a year into this generation (after all three systems came out). I waited in line for a wii in 30 degree weather for 24 hours. I bought a X360 right before christmas of 2006. I played the wii alot and the X360 alot. Then they just became boring. IDK. Like I can't even finish a game anymore. Last game I bought was Starcraft 2 but before that was Call of Duty: MW2. I used to buy like 8 games a year. Now I buy like 2. Haven't touched the wii or X360 in weeks. When I do play it its only for an hour and I would get bored and shut it off.

I find myself being so much more interested in other things. Like no new game really looks interesting. Even Zelda and like I'm a huge Zelda fan. I didn't even get Mario Galaxy 2 and I'm a huge Mario fan.

Anyone like me here?

More of just shifting. I'm becomeing an MMORPG and MMOFPS guy but i can't find any.

I play fewer different games, but I game just as much, if not more than ever. I'm just much more selective of my titles.

I still play but I don't really enojoy it , I actually didn't even enjoy mario galaxy 2

My amount of gaming usually fluctuates, but this summer I haven't really been into gaming at all. I usually get back into it during the holiday season when all the huge blockbusters hit the shelves but unfortunately, this usually comes at the price of my academics which will be much harder to shrug off this year since I'm going to college. I think my days of being a really hardcore gamer are over at least for the time being.

Well considering I just quit WoW a couple weeks ago I have gone from gaming on average 3-4 hours a day to not gaming at all. It really depends on if I find a game I like though. If I got into something I would pick right back up to the 3-4 hours a day average againtestfactor888

Somewhat. I used to play in all my free time, read three gaming blogs religiously, and get like 12-15 games a year. Now, I play about an hour a day (if that much at all), rarely go to kotaku.com (the only website I go to for gaming news), and I bought maybe 4 games this year (the only other games I plan on getting are Halo: Reach and CoD: Black Ops). My XBL account has been silver for about two months, and the only game I ever play these days is Quake Live (occasionally Quake 3, but they are the same game). It's not even because I'm getting into other things, I just don't find playing video games as thrilling as I once did. I might get back into gaming this fall though.

I think it's because I mainly play FPS, and once you've played a few different ones, there's nothing different out there anymore.

I know what you mean. I still game but I always play different things, I can never stick to one game for too long.

I don't play to often anymore. One you get a car and money why would you want to stay home and play video games?

I will be becoming less of a gamer because I start university next week.

Yes, I play far less than I use to, and I'm actually phasing out of this generation of gaming as well. I spend much more time playing my Dreamcast or Gamecube over my PS3.

I can't wait for Halo Reach, preordered since April 2010, I'll be back to gaming again!

Yeah, I haven't played but a few hours in the past week or so. Though granted I would have played alot more if it wasn't for my brother playing Fallout 3 for 14 hours a day since we got it. The problem for me is I can't and have never been able to play a game for more than a few hours straight, but my brother when we get a new game will play them all day, every day, so every time I leave he gets on, and by the time he's done with it the new game feel is gone.

Well if i had more money,i'd be more of a gamer.

Yea me, but that's due to school and other interests. Though I still play quite a bit.

Yeah I haven't been playing that much anymore but idk if its because the summer has terrible selection of games that come out.

I don't play games anymore and if I do, it's only for about an hour. Maximum. They simply don't have enough to keep me interested. And I used to game so much.

I still play games, maybe not quite as much as I used to though.

i haven't turned on my ps3 in months, the xbox i actually turned on today for the first time in a while. when i do game now its on the pc which i don't do much since i stopped playing wow. i've gone down to less then an hour a day.
