So I took an algebra test and I got really pissed off because one of the problems didn't seem possible... so I wrote it down:

X^2 + Z^2/X^2 = ?

You can't divide letters by letters if there are no numbers and expect to get a numeric result.

Are you taking Algebra I or II?

No, I typed it wrong originally. Still, I think my answer isn't that good anyway.

The answer is

-Z/X = X

That's not even a question. If it was equal to zero you could simplify it a bit or express X as a function of Z or something, but that seems kind of silly.

PROTIP: the "/" indicates you need to divide the former by the latter
