I've gotten sick of listening to all the mainstream stuff so I decided to check out my local country station. The stuff isn't that bad. I love Taylor Swift's music. Kind of bubble-gum poppy and kind of not. Here's a sample of one of her songs. What do you guys think of country?

I like a few songs and artists, but it's what I basically grew up on, but I can tell you country is not well received here, unless it's Johnny Cash.The_Zoid

well I would recommend Big and Rich, Jason Aldean(he's kinda inconsistent he has 1 or 2 songs that are awesome and the rest are ok), Tobey Keith, and Dierks Bentley in addition to who you already said

Well, he's one of the greatest musicians of all time IMO. Haven't you heard any of his songs?

ugh... I listened to a couple of clips over iTunes just now. His songs sound so outdated and stereotyped - though I guess he did pave the way for that type of music.

No, I don't really like Country at all, but I won't bash people for liking it. I hate when people bash me for listening to AC/DC (not well recieved here for some reason), so I make sure not to do it to anyone else.
Country is good depending on what you listen to! Like I like a lot of alan jackson, brooks&dunn, alabama, faith hills older stuff, Hank Williams Jr., Jason Aldean, John Anderson, Reba, and Sammy Kershaw is prolly one of my favorites!
