I am not a fan of the Iphone, personally I'd just wait till they release the 32GB model like they talked about in the latest Mac Life mag.

They are cool, but Blackberry's and the LG Dare IMO are WAY cooler.

I bought one for my girlfriends birthday in April. It's the prior model, but my oh my what a good piece of equipment.

The iphones have their own rate plan which can be found here http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/specials/iphone-info.jsp. They all include minutes, text messaging, and inet access. Seeing what is included the rate plans are not bad at all. Quite a steal actually.

I do not belive you can use your sim card from your existing phone in the new phone.

As for the phone itself unless you are the most picky of tech geeks you will love it. The map feature alone is awesome. Took a trip to Michigan from Chicago and had no problem getting to our destination. I would suggset watching the video's on Apple's website in order to see all the various functions the phone provides.
