Survivor Man is the only one worth watching. Man vs. Wild is all fake and he stays in hotels when the camera isn't rolling. Pirate700
Wow..I didn't know that... Is Survivor Man another Discovery Channel show?

I really do like Man vs Wild... it's informative, and is alot more intense. A litte more than disgusting a times though.
However, I've never even seen Surivivor Man so I can't compare.

Yes. It is usually on before MVW. It is an ACTUAL survival show and there is no crew. He does all his own filming and actually has to survive for a week.
Survivor Man is the only one worth watching. Well damn... that sorta saps the enjoyment of the show for me. Oh well, I still find it interesting. I'll have to keep an eye open for Survivor Man so I can give that a shot.
Stop with all the man vs wild bashing. It's a demonstration of how to survive, it's a guide, not the real thing. He still eats all that nasty stuff, builds his shelters etc.greatmax1^this

hooray for mis information ftw. He actually only did that once, and it isnt all fake, other then one night in a hotel, the rest is real. Not to mention how about doing some research on Bear Grylls, the guy is awesome, British Special Forces, climbed mount Everest, raised tons of money for foundations doing crazy things. The guy is awesome and a lot better then Survivor Man because all he teaches you is how to survive in a perfect situation in which you can sit and wait for help where as Grylls actually teachs what to do in serious situations.

Well you hve to take MVW for what it is. It is demonstration of what you can do in certain situations. It is nothing more than a visual survivor guide. Which is still good. No, i don't really like it, plus I hear its all fake.cryptosopoidium
again, actually its not, he stayed in a hotel once, during a cold night in which he could have died.
It is fake but hey teaches you to survive but Survivor Man is more hardcore, easily. legend26
Funny how there are 1000 of vids to show its real, but only one to show its fake.Ok, well from what i'm gathering, Man Vs Wild is a better show to watch while Survivor Man is more real. I would say that the reason why Bear Grylls recieves occasional help is because he's a heavily invested in property and Discovery Channel doesn't want to lose him. From what I've seen, he does do a lot of REAL stuff on camera, and I'm happy with it.JustPlainLucas
yes, also he does say that the crew is there to help in dangerous situations. The problem with Survivor Man is the fact that he does it alone. People say its more realistic and what not, well tell me who its any better/realistic/or true survival skills (like saving energy and time) when he places the camera down, walks like half a mile to get a shot...then has to walk all the way back, get that camera, and then walk that half mile again, all the time carrying camera equipment.

Yeah it is, and the guy films the whole thing himself. I like Man vs. Wild better because of its higher production values and better quality. Some of the stuff in Man vs Wild is fake, but most is real. They'll tell you when something isn't genuine.

Funny how there are 1000 of vids to show its real, but only one to show its fake.
Dude it's a scripted show, everything is scripted, they set up shots and he does them. It's just there to teach you how things are done. He doesn't just go out there and his crew follows him around, they find shots, locations etc, they plan to do something he does it, then they take a break and move to another location via jeep or car. Then they just crop all the clips together at the end.

lol, nice, instead of bringing up some real rumors you make up your own, nice move...
What i don't get about the show is that he doesn't have anything at all (spare clothes, food, transportation, etc) yet he has a tv crew with him.nintendoman562
They are there so that the show can be filmed and put on tv.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're there to film the show. Bear does do real stuff on camera, because I don't see how falling down a waterfall, jumping into freezing waters, eating raw fish and freshly killed by a lion zebra can be fake.

Do I seriously have to search youtube for you or are you just that lazy..
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Man+vs+Wild+is+Fak
Plus how to you explain how they get the shot of him swimming across a lake, or from below and above while he climbs down a steep cliff, or shots from a mile away. Use some 4th Grade Logic.
I like the show, he gets lots of help and stays in hotels yes, but the point is to show you how you can survive, not to watch him survive.Vaasman
..again...he stayed in a hotel...once,out of what 15+ shows, once in a hotel during a freezing cold night...

lol. ill stat by saying there was like only 3 videos in that link that had anything to do with him faking it or showed any evidence that could prove it is fake. Also none of those proved your point of him driving to locations or it being scripted. Also its known by all who watch that show that he has a crew who video tapes him, they set up shoots yes, but that doesnt mean he doesnt do them himself and it has nothing to do with him driving around and staying in hotels. Also lets not start talking about setting up shots here, i mean even Survivor Man does it, and he does it without a crew causing him to waste time and energy. And why should I have to look for information to prove your argument...im lazy lol, you wouldnt even back yourself up until I argued against it...nice try though.
