Has anyone ntoiced this pattern with great and powerful nations arsing out of former colonies of great and powerful nations.

for instance

Greece->Rome->Britain->USA

or

Sumerian empire->Assyrians->Phoenicians->Carthage

I might have the order messed up on the last one but still you get the point.

So, if I start a nation inside the US now, it would become a powerful nation on the future? :D

Its just what happens. Civilizations rise and fall. Look at the history of China, a lot of crazy crap has happened in just the 20th century.

I don't think its surpirising. When you're part of a mighty empire chances are you nation is pretty well off and when that said empire declines/collapses someone has to fill the void.

Mexico already happened with the Mayans and Incas and Aztecs and whatnot. Then the Spanish came and killed it.

Another pattern almost as obvious as that: The sun; it circles the planet, so, like, a little more than half the day is bright and the rest is dark. Whoa, trippy.

Actually, the sun doesn't circle the Earth, the Earth circles the Sun while rotating. So I guess that wouldn't be obvious since it isn't real.

I know, trippy. Actually, I was going to put a lol in the quote until I noticed the error, and since I'm a jerk, I decided to correct you instead of praise you for a smart and funny but flawed remark.

the list is extremely flawed, Rome's contribution to british people were exactly Nada LOL, many people settled & conquered britain time & time again

brits did not come from romans, that is why he says he doesnt see how they are related

The US isnt falling anytime soon, the US gov is smarter than that, they made it, so that all other countries espeacialy those in the western world would have to depend on america, meaning, if america falls, Britain and a crapload of other countries economy would fall with it, what makes america Different From Rome, Britain and all the former world powers, is that America doesnt walk into peoples land saying WE OWN YOU, YOU WILL FOLLOW OUR LAWS OR DIE, like britain & Rome did, in the end, when you pull stuff like that, you only strike fear in other countries, and eventualy they will team up and take you out, which is exactly what happened

I'm pretty sure the British were originally Goths who invaded Rome, not Romans.

The current day British people are descendents of the Angles and the Saxons. They migrated to Britain, wiped out the native Britons and took over. From then it became known as Angle Land/Angleland and then England...

Globalization has changed things. It just doesent work that way anymore in the large scale. The G8s are connected financially and politically. If you boil it down to its basics, the most noticable change would only be the name changing of territories, as in ownership. The leylines of power and influence would remain pretty much unscathed.
