So this great horror movie called It Follows was just released. Anybody see it? What did you think of it? If you haven't seen it and love well done horror, go see it now. It's a really great movie in most ways, not just as a horror movie.

It's the best full on horror film since The Descent.

Thanks for reminding me of that movie...been wanting to watch it but keep forgetting. Looking at the trailers though, the 2 movies don't seem to be nowhere near the same level.

@korvus: Definitely recommend The Descent for a good psychological-horror flick.

Just saw it tonight. Was unaware that it was a Michigan made film and then they went to my freaking high school! Blew my damn mind!

Anyways the film was pretty cool. Not as scary as I hoped but it was so well done outside of some GOD AWFUL CGI. There also seems to be tons of subtext and symbolism in the movie which I like. My friends actually came to the conclusion that the movie is about death itself. You can try and run all you want but no matter what death will catch up with you one day.

Definiteky a horror movie that begs to be analyzed on a deep level.

@uninspiredcup: I'm really really hoping the soundtrack becomes iconic. The main theme that plays when It is chasing her is so fucking good. It's the first horror movie in a very long time where the soundtrack is stellar and not just generic stuff.

Yea, fucking hate CGI in horror movies.

Watched "Prince Of Darkness" the other day and the practical effects are great. Simple stuff like using mercury from the camera's to get the effects of people reaching through mirrors. If they done that today it probably would be shitty cgi effects.

Aside from the blood in the pool, I didn't really notice any CGI. What are you two talking about?

Not really sure what they are talking about to be honest. Besides some of the blood splatter in the film, there really isn't any CGI.

@SaintLeonidas: It's not really a movie that needed it. It doesn't contain a ton of action, just suspense. Which is a good thing because I loved it.

Yeah, the only spotty CG I noticed was the exterior during the pool scene. Nothing to complain about, especially with a film like this.
