Have not seen it, probably the only chance for me to watch in theaters is if one of my friends invites me.... and pays for me. :P some other movies in theaters are on the top of my priority.
OMG, don't remind me. My friend and I were going to go tonight, but it was sold out. I was sooooooo mad! We made plans to see it like a week ago. We didn't think that the 10 PM showing would be sold out! UGH!!!!! :( :cry: :| :x That's how upset I am.
This movie used to be among my top 5 most anticipated films of last year, but after it got dropped from Oscar season my expectations fell completely. It's probably really good. It's Scorsese after all, but it probably isn't another masterpiece. This movie is probably along the level of Cape Fear. Nowhere near The Departed or Aviator, and not even close to Taxi Driver, Raging Bull or Goodfellas.
From the previews, Decaprio can't decide if he has a new york accent or not. One scene he is like totally like *blablabla newyork talk, Then he just sounds normal.
Oh yeah... That movie came out today. I'm not too crazy to rush out and see it. I'm more interested in seeing Roman Polanski's "The Ghost Writer".Nerd_Man
I too am excited for that, most excited to see James Bon....err.....Pierce Brosnan in something this interesting. On topic I saw Shutter Island and loved it. Great movie experience.

I think he knows who is in the film:P They are not the reason I want to see it. I am a big Polanski fan so I care more about seeing what he can do.
I liked it, but it wasn't great. It tried hard to be a good suspense, but it didn't make it. A lot of the sequences were difficult to take seriously and the music didn't fit well in many cases.

I tried to see it friday night and it was sold out.. damn 12 year olds at the mall! saw it Saturday tho and enjoyed it. Although I don't think it was anywhere near creepy enough, frankly it wasn't creepy at all. My gf was afraid to see it because she doesn't like creepy movies but it didn't even bother her. Forget all the atmosphere you see in the trailers it's just not there. oh.. and am I the only one who wanted it to end the other way around? [spoiler] ya know, not insane but sane? [/spoiler]

I'm just wondering, but you did get the last line of the movie? I think that is the endign you wanted, atleast thats what I got from it.
I thought it was a great movie and I loved the last 15 minutes or so.
I liked it alot. Solid film. It had it's issues obviously... I found the ending incredibly predictable, and it really had no suspense to it whatsoever, but I enjoyed it. I'll get the blu-ray when it drops a bit in price.
