Middle school is 6th-8th grade. I was 13 and 14 in 7th and 8th grade respectively. Now I'm 17, and a junior in high school.

Middle school where I am is 7th-8th grade, and most kids are 13 sometime during their 7th grade year.
Well most students are 5 when they* start kindergarten, add 8 years to that and you get 13, which is 8th grade. So did you get a late start, or were you held back a year like I was?

In JPL's case, he actually started early instead of starting late.

Where I am around you can start at 4 if you turn 5 at the beginning part of the school year. (Not sure when the cut off date was exactly) so I can see what you are saying. My birthday is August 5th (right before the school year starts around here) so I was always the same age throughout the entire school year

Mine is the 1st of August, so I also am the same age all the way through the year...it's nice not having a birthday during the school year. :P
But yeah, our town is like the only one in the area that every kid is 18 when they graduate. :P
ok, i live in the southern hemisphere so i just ended my school year and next year ill be what i think is 9th grade and im 13 so its all good i guess, but here its called year 10 cause we start school when we're 5 which is better i guess

I thought the mods wanted underage users banned so they don't run afoul of the law... anyhoo, you can still be 13 or 14 and be in middle school.
