They're not real colleges..? They don't offer real degrees? They're not accredited? (Well, at least DeVry, I don't know about ITT Tech, but I assume it's the same type of deal.)

Going for a degree in game development just seems like an outwardly absurd idea to me no matter how you cut it. No one in the industry is going to give a christ about you unless you've already helped develope some crazy title that sold millions. But you haven't done that yet so how could you get a job? Their are plenty of catch 22s in game development that just make it an unappealing field unless you get lucky. If you get COLOSSALLY lucky the studio you work for might even make some money.

College is a waste of time. You can get rich just by exploring and developing your natural talents.

Uh huh, and did it ever occur to you that your anecdotal perception of the path to success may not apply to everyone else?

Yeah, I hope you're not serious. Especially in a technical field, you need to go to college if you want to succeed.

I don't think this is going to end well really. I think out society is a little "college obsessed" sometimes. But saying stuff like "it's a waste of time" is just ludicrous. He just assumes that what worked for him will work for everyone else. Which is a great way of turning people OFF to his strategy.

As a student of ITT tech i think the education I'm getting there is at college level. I like the fact that the school focuses on your major more while still learning subjects need to graduate. The teachers are pretty good depending on the subject they teach. So I think ITT is not bad college.
