Are Obama's Speeches Must See TV?

Saw what I expected, no specifics and just a typical campaign speech consisting mostly on hope. Stevo_the_gamer

I dunno. Sure sounds like you fit the bill to me.

I missed the speech, but I've been listening to NPR's recap & discussion today.

.. People need to pay attention to politics more than ever, because more than ever they can directly effect you with a failing economy.. But maybe you will get the point when you finally get laid off, your interest rates out of no where go through the roof.. etc etc.sSubZerOo

Then skim through some articles in the paper, or watch/listen to recaps the day after. You don't have to listen to some politician rant on about the same damn thing for hours on end.

Obamas speeches are okay to watch for five minutes, then it just turns into this boring garbage that stretches on for an hour. Not every speech needs to be this epic masterpiece that will be remembered for ages, although I suppose Obama is too full of himself to realise this.

The only thing more annoying than Obama is the fact that congress gives him a standing ovation after every sentence.
