Are people a little overly defensive of women on OT?

One thing I've noticed is that when I've been in debates against someone on OT and its known that they are female chances are someone always runs in trying to play the hero. It doesn't matter what I say and whether or not I have a legit point, at least 3 times someone jumped in and had to try and play knight in shining armor.

I'm not the type for verbal attacks but apparently when you're debating against a woman sometimes the damsel in distress is in need of rescue. Its more than that half the time you see girl help threads of threads asking for advice involving women, its usually the guy who is made out to be wrong and it seems like people mainly take the girls side simply because shes a female.

I guess this is what you'd call being a white knight. Once I had a disagreement because this girl was stereotyping people and 3 different people told me to leave her alone and stuff and I even got reported for "trolling" I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. It was a debate and I don't get to have an opinion?

So I ask you, does it seem like folks on OT are overly defensive of women?

Well since some people have never seen a real girl before they think that by defending a girl on the internet their chances of getting to meet that girl in real life will go up substantially.

Because the lack of female contact for some of the members of OT is so low. That when there is a female she becomes a goddess among them, therefore she needs protection(they think). OT is filled with people who put the ***** on the pedestal. They have no idea that that is the opposite of what women want in a man.MgamerBD

Wow. You are a rarity on this forum. I remember posting on another thread about what women want and I was the only one that went on to say basically what you did. That women want a masculine man that is confident, assertive, stands up to her and doesn't let her walk all over them and I had 2 guys back me up and the rest basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about and that I was being overly macho, even though I said macho was bad and that macho is different than masculine. The rest talked about it being a good thing that men were chivalrous and exposing their feelings at every turn. This is just ridiculous. And then they wonder why girls don't want to be with them, but put them in the friend zone. By the way, you don't want to be in that zone, you will almost never, ever get out. For those of you that know Smallville, it's like the Phantom Zone. If a girl says she wants to be friends or is your friend and you never get anywhere, it's because of this. You put it up on a pedestal like some form of goddess and she can use you and walk all over you. No attraction, that's what that means. Standing up for a woman just because she's a woman is pedestaling and will NEVER create attraction for you with them. Don't believe me, keep doing it.
