But these days people get offended if you call a black person black. I remember there was a thread about that a while ago.

I think that people always play the race card because they get sympathy.
I remember watching a TV show called Road Wars and this guy got arrested for smashing some windows, he was calling the police racist for arresting him.

I just laugh at people like that.Yes. It's been like that forever but it's got worse because of the nanny states governments have created. People are suing and demanding rights for almost everything.
Yup. It's this Political Correctness culture that we have now. People will often use it for personal gain through legal action/compensation.
someone called me white i showed them a paper the next day stating i'm half hispanic/greek...........she called me a trojan wetback i laughed and she called me racistyes. this girl back in 6th grade said im glue and i said but im not white. she called me racist.

yes,
at wawa yesterday i was directing someone to get something black for me (an apron).
and i wrongly said..... "its black and dirty to the right!"
and this black family turned around and i got a warning and now i have freezer duty all this week...
yes and no, i hate when people say someone gets offended easily, unless you know what that person has been through in life and something happens and they get offended by it who am i to just say wow that guy is to easily hurt, i can't say that because i don't know what he's been through. Case in point back in the day as jokes we would rip on each others mom's "for fun" you know yo mamma jokes, there was this one kid who would always get pissed and upset when other kids would talk about his mom, we would say chillout its just jokes man your easily offended, than one day i talked to the guy and he told me his mom passed away and i felt like the biggest douche ever "i was only 9 but still" so like i said you don't know what someone has been throuh so to say someone is easily offended is just bad to me
Meh....doesn't matter...it's only words.....and unless that particular individuals opinion matters to you.....yes and no, i hate when people say someone gets offended easily, unless you know what that person has been through in life and something happens and they get offended by it who am i to just say wow that guy is to easily hurt, i can't say that because i don't know what he's been through.

I think more people fake being offended because its the p.c thing to doPerfectCirclesOr because the PC media tells them they should be....
[QUOTE="Chris_Williams"]Meh....doesn't matter...it's only words.....and unless that particular individuals opinion matters to you..... s your "its only words" guy, yeah words don't hurt you but for others it does go re-read my edit post, i know if anyone talked about my mom "when she passed away" i would be "easily offended" and pissed off so ehh, not everyone is like youyes and no, i hate when people say someone gets offended easily, unless you know what that person has been through in life and something happens and they get offended by it who am i to just say wow that guy is to easily hurt, i can't say that because i don't know what he's been through.

People are way too offended and don't look at context before they make assumptions. People especially take comedy too seriously.
I'm an Australian and we tend to have a more offensive type of humour, it's just our culture. Our humour can be summed up as black, anti-PC, anti-authoritarian, and self-mocking. We mock ourselves, therefore we can mock everyone else as well. Those people that stand on their high horse and get offended just become the targets because they don't realise what we do - everyone can be the object of humour so why not let them?

This is true. People are way to quick to call racism.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="Chris_Williams"]Meh....doesn't matter...it's only words.....and unless that particular individuals opinion matters to you..... s your "its only words" guy, yeah words don't hurt you but for others it does go re-read my edit post, i know if anyone talked about my mom "when she passed away" i would be "easily offended" and pissed off so ehh, not everyone is like you Then you are letting them win by letting their words mean anything....they don't.
