Rap concerts depend on the neighborhood. You can have Ice-T rapping a song saying nothing but shoot that ****** at a good neighborhood and everyone would be fine with it and just have a good time. It doesn't depend on the color skin of those attending either, I've been to all black and all white concerts both in good neighborhoods and they were both equally fine. At a bad neighborhood though concerts can get a little scary. I went to one in Newark before and being an out of towner everyone was staring me down giving me dirty looks. There were cops everywhere and it was not inviting at all. So it doesn't really matter who's playing, just where it's playing.
I think for rock concerts it's more of who's playing. some music influences pushing wich is really annoying when you're trying to enjoy a band you like.
I dont know, I never been to a Rap concert, but I always imagine some homies or gangstas shooting at the performers and then flashing their gang signs and such, but thats just me.tzar3That's not even close to true lol. For the most part people really enjoy themselves and just try to have a good time.
Well, you might get bruised at a rock concert. But not stabbed or anything. And exactly what do people do at Rap concerts? Do they mosh or what?helium_flashSmoke lots of weed and nod your head.
There are unwritten rules for circle pits I think, basicly if you go down, somebody must pull your back up.clyde46Yeah that's pretty much it. I decided to go into a pit one time, got knocked on my ass after about three seconds, someone picked me up, then I decided to stay out :P

 I totally wanna sig this but I won't. OMG.:lol::lol:
The death metal concerts I've been to have been great, no violence or anything (other than the pits). So, stay out of the pits and you wont get hurt haha, and even if you go in the pits you shouldn't get tooooo hurt.SimpJee
My mate went in a pit and came out looking like he just did 12 rounds with Mike Tyson.
Most metalheads usually have this brotherhood mentality and most of them are extremely nice and helpfull. Ive never been to a rap concert but I would assume the same thing.
There are some Skinhead types though. I saw Slayer live and they were every and doing sutff like punching themselves. pretty wierd.:|
i've been to 3 big international festivals (15k+ visitors) and some 20 metal concerts so far (some small local one, some bigger), never seen any trouble ever, neither heards report of any trouble (report from visitors I talket to, security guards and the police (which said that they have never seen a more peacefull event). And thats in Europe where basicly each nation hates atleast one of it neigbours and they are still all getting along with each other.
well except mosh pits, go into it thinking nothing will happen to you. It might or it might no, just don't get pissed if you do get hurt. You have gone in there in your own free will, knowing whats like. But if you fall you always get pulled back up again it's kinda a rule.
Depends on the band and genre of rock.
However just stay out of the pits. I suggest not to go to any Black Metal concerts either...unless you want goat entrails flung on your face.

I've been to one Black Metal concert and hell it was extremely violent, haha. Still very exciting stuff, though. Anyway, even when going to a Black Metal show, if you don't want to get hurt, you can always go to the back and still see very well from there.

You should also be careful on not to try and touch any member of a Black Metal band, they might just end up beating the hell out of you.
I've been to two rock concerts and a full blown Metal concert seeing Opeth and Between the Buried and me. And during the Opeth and BtBaM show there were 3 mosh pits going but nothing rough. Just a little shoving around know one getting hurt. However I did see a guy with a bloody nose at the end of the night. I don't know if it was due to a mosh pit or what. Opeth had a less rougher crowed then BtBaM did but BtBaM really wanted the crowed to go rough.
The other two shows I went to were nothing compared to that. I saw Bright Eyes andit was a little rougher but at least know one got stabbed or shot that night :P.

I've been to a Rap concert and it is chilling. People are having fun and there was no fight or trouble.
However, i youtubed Moshpit and found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ_mdej9vko&feature=related
Not saying all Rock concert are like this, but seeing a Death Metal band drives people insane.

and whats wrong with a nice wall of death? it's like someone is forcing you at gunpoint to join in, if you don't want to, don't but if you do, well it's fun^^
In rap concerts concerts u can be.....shot or beaten up(These will most likely not happen). But at rock concerts u will be trampled by a moss(or mosh, don't know)pits.MgamerBD
don't tell about stuff you don't understand, as soon as you fall down in a mosh pit it's stops around you and someone (most of the time atleast 3 people) are going to help you up.
of course not......rap concerts are like a walk in the park compared to a rock concert
fires......mosh pits.....drunk people.....CHAOS!!
lol rap concerts not violent...i went to see wu tang clan, in NYC and here are the acts of violence.I would love to see Wu-Tang live, especially in NY
1) one fight in the line in which a guy was knocked out and his face was swolen up.
2) a fight in the crowd bad enough that they stopped rapping and reakwon had to tell the crowd to have respect and not fight.
3) my friend threw a cup of beer at some dude and they almost threw down
4) we almost hit and killed someone with our car on the way out causing a huge rukus outside in the parking lot. he threatend us with death lol.
i saw a video of sticky fingaz blasting his glock in the air on stage and telling the crowd to beat up a guy. so yea unless ur in the nice part of town a hip hop show is a crazy place to be.incred_davis
I don't believe there's anything such as a dangerous concert. Every show is safe, you have to know where you stand and what to do, do that and you'll be fine.BerzzI agree with this guy

Lamb of God aren't Death Metal btw :P
For the most part rap concerts are safe and you have a much greater chance of getting hurt in a mosh pit than you do at a rap concert. I've never seen any trouble at any of the rap concerts I've been to.
On the otherhand this rapper Plies was performing at a nightclub in my college town, and members of his entourage shot their guns into the audience.... but that's pretty much an isolated incident...
