Are there any GS users born after 1987 that like 70's/80's/90/s punk music?

Reason I ask is that I know of many people in their twenties and beyond that enjoy some of the early and original days of punk rock music. However, I haven't heard of many teenage folks that really care for punk these days. And BTW, EMO doesn't count. So are there any GS users besides myself who actually like true punk music? I'm just curious to know and hope to not have any of the "blah blah blah sucks" type responses.

I'm a year too old to respond, but I love 80's music. I've been to two Hall and Oates concerts!

What's punk? I'm ignorant with music genres, old and new. Maybe a YouTube video of a punk song in your opinion would help.

When it comes to punk music, not really. But it's cool to see that you have a taste in original bands that existed before your time.

Some of the older punk rock is pretty good, I'm more of a rock and metal fan myself. I like the oldies.

Haha! That's funny. I think I just saw a post about young people saying they hate kids and don't want them but end up having them later on anyway. But if you do have kids, make sure you steer them away from bad music and make them appreciate what is good and original.

Those are some great punk bands you listed. I wish my younger bros, who were born in 85' and 86', would appreciate those groups like you do.

Didn't know that happened a lot, hehe. In the event that I do have kids I will remember to teach them that:

Stooges = good

MCR = bad

I think it is implying punk music from those eras. Seeing as you like Southern rock, we all know that I have to do this.

I hate what is considered to be "punk" these days. I was born in '88 and the only kind of punk bands in my heart are bands like The Misfits or The Dead Kennedys. Modern punk is nothing compared to great bands like the ones born out of the 80's.

Punk isn't dead though, there's still good bands that stays true to its genre.

Especially The Misfits with Michael Graves. Glenn Danzig was awesome, but Graves was godly.

I used to listen to punk bands like the exploited and the anti-nowhere league... then I realised the whole punk ideology is ridiculous and I stopped listening to it. Now I like techno, electronica and rave music.
