I'm sixteen,born in 1991, and I like The Who. Does that count?PannicAtack
When it comes to punk music, not really. But it's cool to see that you have a taste in original bands that existed before your time.
I was born in 92. Punk is probably the only form of music I've really liked a lot.Brmarlin
Good for you. You shall pass the torch of punk rock onto your future children, grand children, great grand children, and beyond!!!!
Born in 89', and I listen to alot of differnet music. Punk is my favorite above all.
Fav bands include: Bad Religion, The Misfits, Samhain/Danzig, Pennywise, Rancid, Lars Frederiksen & the Bastards, Transplants, The Clash, Sex Pistols, The Casualties, Husker Du, The Ramones, AFI, and The Unseen to name some.

Haha! That's funny. I think I just saw a post about young people saying they hate kids and don't want them but end up having them later on anyway. But if you do have kids, make sure you steer them away from bad music and make them appreciate what is good and original.

Those are some great punk bands you listed. I wish my younger bros, who were born in 85' and 86', would appreciate those groups like you do.

Didn't know that happened a lot, hehe. In the event that I do have kids I will remember to teach them that:
Stooges = good
MCR = bad
I like classic rock, Psychedelic rock, Southern rock all from the 70s-80s. I don't know if thats what your referring too though. I hate Ska & punk music though.

I think it is implying punk music from those eras. Seeing as you like Southern rock, we all know that I have to do this.

nothin like postin on the gs graveyard shift:P
I hate what is considered to be "punk" these days. I was born in '88 and the only kind of punk bands in my heart are bands like The Misfits or The Dead Kennedys. Modern punk is nothing compared to great bands like the ones born out of the 80's.M1Hunter66
Punk isn't dead though, there's still good bands that stays true to its genre.
Especially The Misfits with Michael Graves. Glenn Danzig was awesome, but Graves was godly.
Reason I ask is that I know of many people in their twenties and beyond that enjoy some of the early and original days of punk rock music. However, I haven't heard of many teenage folks that really care for punk these days. And BTW, EMO doesn't count. So are there any GS users besides myself who actually like true punk music? I'm just curious to know and hope to not have any of the "blah blah blah sucks" type responses.jt222_us
The CLash, Social Distortion, Rancid, are those bands punk cause i like them.
Bah, Ska is the bomb! and punk is pretty darn good too! Especially bands like The Clash.I like classic rock, Psychedelic rock, Southern rock all from the 70s-80s. I don't know if thats what your referring too though. I hate Ska & punk music though.jarhead1990
And yes, I was born after 1987. 2 years after that.
