You wouldn't see them, they are busy watching re-runs of Star Trek in their parents basement at age 35.

Of course there are. There are plenty of "nerds" that don't play games.

I guess it's probable haha. Depends what you'll qualify as a nerdy subject. If advanced sciences are nerdy, I'm certain there are some who haven't played games. If you mean the kind of sci-fi addict 'nerd', it'd be less likely but I'm sure some of them are out there =D

This. They're basement dwellers. Other nerds include Weeaboos, and if the idea's still around, anyone that's remotely smarter than the average human in your general area could be labeled as a nerd. I guess people who follow all the rules (will snitch on anyone without a second thought) could be nerds as well lol.

I'm sure there are. We'll never know how many of them there are though. They all live in their mom's basement and never see the light of day.

I'm sure there are plenty of them. For me, the word nerd isn't synonymous with gamer. The word geek, however...

Yes, but you're not going to find them on a video game forum.

True dat. Game nerds, on the other hand, are all womanizers with thousands of friends, who have, during college, done a backpack trip through Europe.

And TC, there are. There were nerds before games.

Yup, I know one, he just dicks around on computers, or with electronics devices, doesn't watch TV, maybe just a DVD on rare occasions, doesn't play video games, very friggin brilliant when it comes to technology. I remember his last apartment he was in he took out the lock and installed his own electronic key like you see in office buildings. He'd alter his digital phone hookup to read "911" or "666" when he called me. Funny though he did have an Xbox 360 and PS3 at one point, he just never played them, had the PS3 to watch blu-rays, and at one point I think he was taking his Xbox 360 apart to study it.

I can confirm that, back when I took a few classes in programming in high school there were people there who didn't like playing games, they just liked to screw up windows as much as they could xP

People who still watch the Star Wars prequels on their mothers basement, threatning to kill someone if they ever mention the Prequels.

What does video games have to do with being a nerd ?? Nerd is a derogatory slang term for a person typically described as intellectual, socially-impaired, and obsessive who spends inordinate amounts of time on unpopular, obscure, or highly technical pursuits, or relating to topics of fiction or fantasy, to the exclusion of more mainstream activities.
