Many people have their own concrete conclusions about this, but most would say they just don't know. The ones that do though, usually have some interesting theories that I've never thought of, so please, feel free to post away.

I, personally, believe that angels and demons are a form of an alien race that have come up with their own technological methods of reaching us. They're able to communicate with us by using a medium that we call "the spirit and soul". I'm not so sure the Bible is just a compilation of philosophical views used for political power. I mean, the very first chapters in Genesis where it talks about how GOD created the Earth is the same step-by-step process by which evolutionary scientists suspect the way in which the universe was formed, starting with the Big Bang (Let there be light). Anyway, I could be totally wrong.

I don't think we're alone, I've read that they have discovered I believe two earth like planets. I read it on the Yahoo homepage a few weeks ago. I don't have the link, and I'm too lazy to look for it right now, because I'm going to sleep.

I would say that some other life form would have to exist somewhere in the universe, but I doubt they are as intelligent as human life.

Also , I am a Catholic (I know, sue me), so I view the Bible as more than just a bunch of philosophical teachings.

I think the universe is so big that it would just be egocentric of us humans to believe that there are no other life forms anywhere else, but I also think the universe is so big that we'll never be able to make contact with those other life forms.

Just throwing this out there. They've discovered a moon of Jupiter that has all the elements to support a water-based lifeform, Europa. From satellite pictures, they've concluded that it may very well be covered in a sheet of ice with a liquid ocean hiding underneath it. We're actually designing a probe to be able to dig through the ice and navigate through the underworld ocean. Scientists now suspect that life could be...everywhere.

Here are some characteristics of Europa: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa_(moon)

The universe is so immense, it's idiotic to think that we are alone. I bet there are species out there even more intelligent than us

I think it would be ridiculous to think theres only one place in the entire universe with life on it. I reckon theres definately more intelligent creatures then humans infact i don't think we will last to much longer technology, resources and population rates are going so rapidly. Anyway i do beleive 100% in other life and i wonder if there would be things like other senses?

we don't hav eto be alone but why do we hav eto be inferior to a species of organisms we have never met. i just find it odd that everytime humans and aliens are mentioned together humans are always inferior. Like the last indiana jones movie, aliens were greater. Why?

I would be very surprised if earth harbored the only forms of life. But I don't think I would be as surprised if we found that there was either no or little other intelligent life. Think about how many species of life we've had on this planet and from what we can tell, literally only about dozen or so species, all contained within the genus Homo have developed sentience.

 I can assure you, you are totally wrong.

I'm pretty sure evolutionary scientists - nor, for that matter, astrophysicists - don't believe that everything was created in 7 days. Also, the Bible says that the universe and the Earth were created together. Scientists say they were created billions of years apart.

That's just a few of many differently.

By the way, I don't think you can prove your post at all.

I think this because the universe is infinetly huge i don't believe we are inferior we just haven't lived in this technology for very long and seeing as animals evolve we will start adapting to technology and become some intense supertechno-human(if that makes any sense). I don't know about these aliens you see in movies though if they were so intelligent why would they be big brained, hideous, small grey monsters?

Heck no, i dont think so. There is WWAY too many stars out there and galaxies and whatnot for us to be the only planet with life. Heck, i think they found signs of possible life on one of the moons i think caled Tritan or something like that, not that there IS life but there could have been. Also, I think if there is evolved life on other planets, that maybe aliens could like quite similar to us.

I find it hard to believe that we're the only planet in the universe with intelligent life, but if there were other planets with life how would the whole heaven/hell thing work?

One thing that we have to keep in mind though is that even if a planet is perfect for supporting life doesn't mean it exists there. At some point there needs to have been a spark of life that kicked it all off, and at this point we have no idea the probability of this happening.
