but western nations are greedy. for us to sustain our way of life we need to meddle in poor countries. throughout history we have controlled them through military now its through economics. There whole economy is built our serving us. (cash cropsetc)

All humans are selfish and greedy, it is instinct in order to survive. Come to think of it, there isn't any animal I can think of that isn't selfish and greedy.
.. Based on the west's foriegn policies for 200 years, I'd say so.. The unstable state of the Middle East is a direct result of intervention from the west..
