I was just wondering here if there any fellow Martial Artists in OT :P

I've practiced a lot of martial arts..

Namely.. Shaolin Kung Fu, Krav Maga, Aikido, Kendo, Budo Taijutsu (Part of Ninjutsu), Karate, Judo and Kickboxing.

And right now I'm a Muay Thai fighter :P That's Thai Kickboxing :3

So, do you?

I used to practice karate for a few years. I was up to a blue belt before I stopped, but I do have a friend who has a second degree black belt.

I have a blackbelt in Taekwondo. I would love to get back into it and learn something new like judo or jujitsu. Though, I really want to learn kendo also.

I'm 2nd Dan on Muay Thai..

Shaolin Kung Fu - 3rd Kyu

Krav Maga - 1st Dan

Aikido - 3rd Kyu

Kendo - 6th Kyu (didn't really like it :P)

Budo Taijutsu (Part of Ninjutsu) - Orange Belt

Karate - Brown Belt

Judo - Green Belt

Kickboxing - We didn't use much grading, but "beltwise" I was around 2nd Kyu

Fencing is the closest I've got. Whilst it's not really a martial art, it certainly gives you a fine sense of distance and timing. Thats about as practical as it gets though :P

Have done a little Taekwon-do
But before that I did knock out a guy with black belt in karate, so all in all I guess I'm just a Street fighter.

I've got a bluebelt in Hapkido.

I'd like to practice Krav Maga, which is probably the coolest form of CQC.

I watched enough Walker Texas Ranger growing up to be a martial artist.:P

...My parents watched it so I'd watch it with them occasionally.

Isn't Wushu just a general term for all martial arts in China? Tai Chi is specific, but wushu...what do you mean?

I'm only a martial artist whenever I see a kung fu movie. I have to admit, I'm not very good :(.

You're right. More specifically, the style I practised was Chang Chuan, also known as Northern Style.

Great Times, the ability to just pound on somebody and not get in trouble :P

I did Tae Kwon Do once, quit, then quit again because I was having problems with my neck. But I would say the style I was learning didn't really satisfy me, as it didn't teach self-defense, but more tournament sparring.

Huh. That's pretty neat, I think. Admittedly, I've only learned some basic Goju Ryu as a means of self-defense, but I'm really interested in learning some form of Chinese martial arts more in depth.

I took Karate (Shotokan) for 8 years. The DoJo closed when I was 14. Since then I have done a little Jujitsu, no formal classes though.

I am, to an extent. For the past seven or eight years, I've developed my own style of sword-fighting and for the past two or three years, I've been trying to translate those movements and concepts to hand-to-hand fighting. I'm alright, I suppose, enough to defend myself if anything.

Well yeah, It's pretty much my life. I have a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, so now I'm coaching it. I've been doing Judo for 10 years, Jeet Kun do for 9 years and Capoeira for a year.

Now every couple months I fight in womens MMA tournaments across Canada and at the end of the year I'm gone to Asia, usually China.
