Do you consider yourself one? Do you have friends or know anybody that is? I have some good friends (mostly girls) that you can call weaboos, and tbh the way they act sometimes annoys me. Not that much though. :)

Weeabo: A word filter for the image board **** that replaces the word wapanese. Originates arbitrarily from a Perry Bible Fellowship comic strip wherein a man was paddled by a crowd chanting "Weeaboo! Weeaboo!"

"Those Wapanese kids think Japan is so great."
becomes
"Those weeaboo kids think Japan is so great."

from Urban Dictionary

Its just someone who is overly obsessed with Japanese culture, mostly anime. Theyre the ones who cosplay and dress up as characters at ComiCon and stuff.

I watch anime, and play some Japanese games, but other than that, I'm not really interested in japan's culture, so no, I am not.

Never really put much thought into it, but I guess I could be considered one. I love manga, anime and the Japanese culture. I went over there little over a month ago and loved every minute of it (except the jetlag, smacked my head on the hand rail on the subway). I'm also going to live there after I get a post-grad course in teaching english as a foreign language. However I am rational about my liking and can point out the reasons for which I have taken a liking to Japan and Japanese things.

Yeah, I think Japan is just like their movies and video games. As soon as you land there, your eyes expand to 5 times their normal size and your hair turns purple, orange, or green.

I hate weaboos. And generally all the people in my school who watch anime. They just seem so pathetic, worse than even me, a kid half obsessed with video games! I hate when there isn't any seats left on the bus and I'm forced to sit next to them. All they talk about is their damn Naruto.

I watch anime and read manga, but am in no way a weeaboo. I know those are just forms of entertainment, not a lifestyle. I know several weeaboos, though. They annoy the crap out of me when they start thinking they know Japanese by saying a few words they know that they heard from anime. Bah.

I did see one Ninja, but he was a kid, and he always said 'believe it". It was annoying the hell out of me, so I unleashed an energy beam on him that I randomly acquired once I stepped foot upon Japanese soil...

I've studied the language for about 5 years, and I became somewhat interested in the culture from that. I never try to "act Japanese" or want to be. I'm proud of my Chinese culture, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to learn about another one. I can understand how some people can be put off by the obession level of others though. I've developed a pretty high tolerance level for "cute" behavior, but some people eventually get to me lol. I CAN'T STAND Magibon for example lol.

no but i find that anime storylines are fitting for watching on the internet, they have some continuation of storyline but not alot and can easily be watched by themselves which suits me as i can get distracted by a game for a few weeks and forget the story line, they're also very easy to get on the internet with good streaming speeds

Japanese music is good too, dosn't seem as cheaply made as alot of western music and the style's quite different which makes a good change from the usual stuff. Japanese food is good but then so is all food so that's nothing special. I would like to learn japanese cause general eastern culture intrests me, nowhere eslse really does but korean would be good too or maybe chinese, helps alot getting into universities aswell.

I watch a fair bit of anime and play Japanese games, and I am quite interested in the historical parts of Japan (Samurai's, shrines etc) but not really interested in the cute-schoolgirl side of it.

Idk, does that make me a weaboo?
