Yup, it's basic animal instinct to be afraid of death. Wack at a moth or a fly and you'll see what I mean.
"I used to be frightened of dying, I used ot think death was the end. But that was before, I'm not scared anymore, I know that my soul will transcend. If I die tomorrow, I'd be alright because I believe... that after we're gone, the spirit carries on"
My thoughts on death, summed up in a song...
I am bloody afraid of the "pain and suffering" of death.the thoughts of being unable to breath just scares the hell out of me let alone a more painful death.And that's what makes me feel that life sint worth it cuz at the point of death it would all count for nothing and life at that point wouldnt feel worth it so it's better to be prepared for it and dont run after this world.
I would definitely not be afraid of leaving this world if it was a completely painless process which I wish it was.:(
