A little worse off, but only because of family drama. It doesn't have to do directly with me, but it still drags me down.
Well, this time last year I was two weeks past my college graduation, with no money, and living at my parents' house.
Now, I live in LA and I work in Hollywood, getting ready to make my directorial debut.
So yeah, my life sucks ;)
I guess a little better off. Still a mess academically, but am 60 lbs lighter than I was this time last year.
The same. Definitely a lot worse than it was before Obama took over the country and Brown took over the state.
Yes and no.
I'm out of the military and back home in Washington which is great.
But since then I've gained 25 lbs and have gone from making 50k a year to about 12k + monthly BAH from the VA whilst in school.
For some strange reason, yes much better, even though nothing has changed at all since last year. On the contrary, I'd say things have deteriorated even more. Its really inexplicable, but I feel good, real good, basking in tranquility, serenity and self-possession.
Can I cheat a bit and say 2 years ago instead of a year? =P 2 years ago I was out of a job, struggling with a brutal adjustment to a career change, living in a country where you can barely survive economically and living 3000km away from my girlfriend.
Now I moved to a better country, living in a great place together with my fiance, we're getting married in a little over a month, started my one company and it's going great, we're planning on starting a family after the wedding....so yeah, I'm way better off =)
For the posters who say their life is getting worse, hang in there. I know it's not much comfort but the chances are, it'll get better.
Now that I look back, I see that I was doing pretty good last March.Life was better, uni stuff was good, family stuff was good, grandma was good, I never cared about anybody or anything ,and above all, I never had anything to regret.
For what it's worth,it's a funny coincidence that tomorrow is the Persian new year.Wonder how this new year will end.
Much better off I'd say. Last year I was inundated with coursework in university, surrounded by people in the same boat with morale very low, and I was worrying over whether or not I'd be able to get a job over the summer and if not, if I could get one when I graduated. Now I'm doing the final project for my degree, a project I enjoy and don't have strict deadlines so I can spend some time not working. Not only that I have a job offer lined up for after I graduate.
Nope...still struggling mightily to keep going whilst slowing staggering backwards instead of moving forward.
