When someone claims to be able to do so it's all over the news. I remember seeing a whole 1 hour documentary about a Russian girl who claimed to be able to see in infared, they had scientists doing tests on her the whole show. If seeing these parts of the spectrum was so commonplace that TV program would never have existed.

I meant hues, not light frequency.
