Are you famous, or do you know anyone who is famous?

My brother is in a hip-hop group and he participated in a talent show.

A little weird thinking that 500,000 people were watching (4,000,000 live in my country) he made it to the finale and almost won. So he's pretty famous.

I have been on the news a couple of times on accident :P

I wouldn't say I am famous, but am known world wide. I even made it into the game credits for Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter along with tags on walls in the levels.

I am not famous, nor do i know anyone famous outside of perhaps meeting my local state senator (yes, i'm not super active, but i do give a damn and i do show up at the public meetings and rally's.)

My last name is rather well known, and i'm not used to that. Could be an aspect of the Gulf-Arab culture of knowing people's last names, but my last name is fairly well known.

I mean one time i met two young princes from Kuwait going to my engineering college (it's really not a big deal), and i didn't mention what city i was from i only gave them my last name and they said "ah... so you are from Al-Hasa". Now i'd understand if they broke it down to the region, i'm surprised they knew my families origin is from that specific city, and they are all the way in Kuwait.

my uncle is a nationally syndicated cartoonist that has his strip in most newspapers in the US. My old birthday cards he always hand drew are my retirement fund, his stuff sells for crazy money on ebay.TonyDanzig

Those are the kind of thing that would be awesome to keep forever and pass down. I wish I had something like that.
