I remember many years ago my brother and I knocked on a door, shouted "Trick or treat", and this lady answered and said: "Ok, trick!" Neither my brother or I had any idea what to do, so we just stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before turning around and walking to the next house.

Some guys aren't cut out for that stuff.
Set up a run-through of the house, turned it into a Haunted House, people enter through the alley and navagate their way through the backyard only to cross the interior of the house with fog machines, ambient music (Eerie as all get out), strobe lights with hanging "bodies" in the hallway as they round the final corner. Oh yeah, and candy on the way out...for those who make it through ALIVE! -Insert Evil Laughter Here-
Being that I live on a seminary campus, I admit that it would be amusing to go trick or treating at the apartments of other people on campus. There is nothing like dressing up like a devil or something similar on a Christian campus like this. :P But no, I'm not doing either.
I plan on conspicuously hand selecting treats for each vict..I mean child from my bowl of 'special candy'. I plan on getting a few calls from the local police.
