Are you? Because I am!
I find it intuitive and got tenure, promotions, and raises, so maybe
As long as I can support my family, have the opportunity to help others, and live comfortably, I am happy.
Any dingus will say they are. Just like any slacker will say they deserve more pay than what they're getting. Prove it.
I think so. At least I must be good enough; the boss keeps giving me projects to do, raises, and recently a promotion.
Plus I've been there for about 15 years, I figure if I wasn't good I'd be fired or let go in one of the many, fairly recent "restructurings" we've had.

Coming off a little strong there, eh?
Are you perhaps not very good at your job? 😋😁
And objectively speaking, the average worker deserves MUCH more pay than they are getting, even the mediocre ones. The wealth divide is only getting larger, and cost of goods/living is ridiculous.
Either we need more pay, or cost of goods and housing need to come down. I'd be happy with either one (or both!).
Outlasted everyone else from my recruitment wave by a long chalk, so I can't have been awful. Still, I always got the feeling my direct manager was propping up my results in case I became useful, so it's hard to judge how able I really was.
I actually quit a couple of months back after meeting our regional operations manager and discovering she's an over-privileged dunce with no idea how to recruit and retain employees, nor about what's happening in our biggest project, let alone the whole EMEA region. I'm between jobs right now.
I run a video game store, locally where I live. So I better be or else I wouldn't get any business at all and have to close down. :P
I wish we still had these here for PC games, really miss buying a nice fresh box game.

That's something some people come in sometimes and want. I kind of miss seeing that myself.
I've been promoted three times at my current place of employment, and now I'm a manger with 13 direct reports so I think i'm seen as pretty good at what I do.
I am a high school special education teacher for the past 15 years and I LOVE my job. I have also been the advisor for the video game club at my school for 10 of those years. Some talk badly about the career choice of teacher, but I for one feel that not only am I good at my job, but it is also the greatest job in the world.
