I dont bring it up unless they do. Usually the reaction is... "you play videogames? WTF?! Thats cooool." and they get blown away at how hardcore gamey I am.
no, i always hold my thoughts about video games. even around guys. i dunno, i guess i just dont want to seem like i conform to an old stereotype (considering i look a bit nerdy and get good grades and all that).

Lol, that was awkward. I talk about video games with girls every now and again, I have some girl friends that think they're cool. I don't go into extreme detail (Like listing all of the Final Fantasy characters :P), just talk about the games I have.

I guess it's better to say that's what many of the girls I generally like are into. :P
I bring up whatever I want whether its video games, anime, or whatever. They usually find it quite interesting except for when I get onto weird things like Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Only if something prompts me to be, in general, I'm one of those cool nerds. The kind of nerd no one expects to be a nerd. When I do go on a nerd rant though, it turns my girlfriend on for some unknown reason...then good things happen.
I always tend to be myself when I'm around the opposite sex, talking about videogames definately being one of thsoe factors. If the girl would think I'm a nerd for doing this, then a relationship would never work, afterall you can't hide that sort of thing forever.
