Well, I'm agnostic, and I have yet to tell my family about this (besides my sister). I dont think I ever will either. I don't think they would try to convert me, but they would most likely be disappointed. I'll tell my friends though if they ask me, but otherwise I'm usually quiet about it.

Are you all open about your religion?

What do you mean by "open"?

Sorry, for the lack of comprehension.

I'm very open about my lack of a religion. My mom wasn't too happy about it but she respects my views and I don't think my dad believes in God either.

Why not believe in God? There is so much proof that he is real, I don't see how people can truly believe that there isn't a creator of everything.

Not really.

Lately I've been questioning my beliefs. If I ever told my parents I was athiest or agnostic (i'm not), they would try to do something.

If I figure I am, I'll wait to tell someone until I'm 18 >_>

well I don't really think that things are created at all. the act of creation implies a kind of seperation between two entities that I've never observed to exist. I think everything is more or less the, manifestation of one big thing or something like that.

I am serious, it had to come from somewhere. You really think the Earth is billions of years old and that it just happened to be in the proper orbit and rotation to sustain life? The chances of that happening are well over a trillion to one.

Depends who I'm talking to. My mom is well aware of my religious beliefs (she largely shares them, which makes things easy), but most of my family and friends have no idea what I believe, and quite frankly I'd prefer to keep it that way. :P

Of course, the other argument one can make is that that, were it not the case that things turned out that way, we would not be here to discuss the subject, so the fact that we were here means that the event, however unlikely, did occur.

I think so, but you should just try it sometime, you have nothing to lose. The best way to prove God isn't real is to test this whole "christian" thing out by yourself. It can't hurt and that's the reason I believe in God so much. It's a feeling you get inside of you, like love because it's hard to explain the feeling.

Not dirt, actually clay. And it is a "poetic expression". Infact, many minerals present in clay are in human body. This includes Iron, sulphur etc. (it's a long list really).

Unless you believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ (pretty much a prerequisite for being a Christian), that would probably put you closer to deism.

The problem with talking with people who believe in "big bang theories" and all that, is that whatever we say it is, you can tell us it's wrong because no one knows what it is, it's all just theory.

Moderately open. If someone wants to know what I think then I'm not going to hold back but at the same time I believe it's a waste of time to try and debate scripture/dogma/evolution/creationism.

I am agnostic, or theist, depending on how I feel.

In regards to being open, or non-open, about it, depends on who I am talking to.

I'm open about my beliefs. But only when people ask, or the time comes where I find I need to use them.
