It's really not about conserving a specific amount of energy that night- it's about awareness, and I think it's great that google is helping out that cause. I'll be taking part.
Earth Hour is bull. To really reduce Carbon Emissions you'd need to stop the power plants... Which is basically impossible. Turning off your lights just puts the power to waste.
So no, I won't be. (Kind of ironic when you think about it. I will help the environment by not participating in environmental activites! :P)

My wife is making us. Yeah I don't think it directly helps the problem but yes it does make people talk about it and keep people concious of the environmental problems we face.
Though unfortunatley it causes some people to become angry about all environmental concerns.

I'll probably be over a friends house, so I can't say that I will be. But I'm not using any electricity now :) It's only about 11 hours away. So if I don't do it tonight, I covered it this morning.
I thought it was weird that Google was black. If they're doing it to raise awareness they could at least make the earth hour link a little more noticeable. I didnt' even realise it was there. I just thought "woah, black google."
