What am I supposed to for an hour? Sit in a corner and stare at a blank wall??
Actually, that doesn't sound to bad...
-hotaru-
Well you can still watch T.V. or play on your computer or video game console.
Turn the lights off, yet keep the TV, video game console, PC, etc running?
Exactly how is that going to conserve energy?

Yeah. Plus, this takes place at 9, most of the lights in my house are usually off by that time anyway...
This **** is stupid. It's just a token gesture designed to give the impression about caring. I that 9 tenths of the people who even bother to participate are gonna smugly say "I participated in Earth Hour. Did YOU?", and then go right back to the same energy wasting practices they were doing all along.
Oh wow, you turned off your lights for an HOUR? Well whoopy-****ing doo. Hey, I'm impressed. Did I mention that I turn off all my lights for at least 6 hours EVERY ****ING NIGHT?
Hey, here's another idea. Let's call it "Racial Equality Minute". Let's all designate a time and date. Then, for one minute, we'll all abstain from beating anyone up because of their skin color. That'll surely make the world a better place.

Earth Hour is bull. To really reduce Carbon Emissions you'd need to stop the power plants... Which is basically impossible. Turning off your lights just puts the power to waste.
So no, I won't be. (Kind of ironic when you think about it. I will help the environment by not participating in environmental activites! :P)

You are an angry person. Lets dance !
My wife is making us. Yeah I don't think it directly helps the problem but yes it does make people talk about it and keep people concious of the environmental problems we face.
Though unfortunatley it causes some people to become angry about all environmental concerns.
My thoughts exactly. Sooner or later we're going to have Awareness Hour, an hour where we sit around and become more aware about the awareness initiatives around the world. This **** is stupid.
