I'm in between. I'm flush with cash at the moment, but have a kid on the way, so I'm socking away most of it (that which I'm not spending on 'baby stuff')

I'd wait until after your wife's baby shower before spending any money on baby stuff.
Yeah, I hear ya. I meant more along the lines of furniture and other things that aren't on the registry. That and things from the hardware store like paint, a new light fixture for the nursery, stuff like that.[QUOTE="Atmanix"]

I thought you meant things like diapers, bottles, etc. We filled our entire crawl space under the stairs with boxes of diapers :P

Thats AWESOME! I've thought about, once the time is a little closer, just going over to one of the local 'big box' stores and getting months and months worth of diapers in one shot (of various sizes/stages of course).[QUOTE="Atmanix"]

My niece grew out of the smaller diapers extremely quickly. My son on the other hand has been in the same size for many many months now. Just keep your eye on sales. Another reason not to buy them in bulk is that some diapers are better than others. We originally tried Huggies and he always leaked through them or gave him rash. Pampers were good but I know other people had the opposite problem with Pampers not working for them and Huggies being great.
For a newborn I'd try Pampers first. They have a built in "tester" that'll tell you if the diaper is wet or not with a quick glance. Once he/she outgrows those I'd try out the Target generic brand. Everyone I know uses them, they're good quality now, and they're signifcantly cheaper.
I dont make much money but im in high school so it doesn't matter. I do little things here and there and im saving up for probably a new car.

My wife says a lot of the same stuff regarding the firt paragraph.Regarding the second, I'm intrigued about the 'tester.' Totally going to take a look in the diaper aisle when I'm running errands this week. Also, BIG fan of Target here :)

I just quit a fluffy $30/hour job with only 2 years of university behind me. Either I'm loaded or brain dead, take your pick.PS2_ROCKS
