nope cause i don't live in the ghettoBladeOfHeavenyea. it's so retarded. i just wish i had enough money to move out of here and surround myself with a more competent community of people.
I honestly thought I was going to open this thread and see something like, "Then vote for Barack Obama! He'll use other people's money to get you out!"yea. i live in long beach california. i'm on the westside near poly and cabrillo. it's not the worst part of long beach (north long beach is terrible) but it's still pretty bad.
Thank you for not posting that.
Also, I live in Iowa. We don't really have one of these "ghettos" you speak of. Although we've got plenty of land if someone were to, say, build a ghetto.

Used to live in the LES. It's not as bad as yours so I guess you could say I didnt live in a ghetto.
You should break out of there if you have to watch behind your back so much. Being nervous is never a good thing in that sort of situation.

Well you could get a job or finish your education and get a good one.
i don't constantly have to watch my back, people don't kill other people here for no reason. I just really pay attentiion to the things i say and do and pray to God that no one thinks i'm disrespecting them. and i ALWAYS put money and electronics in my front pockets. i've been pick pocketed several times.Used to live in the LES. When i used to live in the ghetto areas I used to keep money in my socks. And yeah, just be careful who you insult, and who your friends are. Having the wrong friends could be just as bad as having the wrong enemies. Hope you get out :(

my dad died during my senior year of high school. that hit me pretty hard, and i ended up just barely making it through that year (getting D's in all my classes). i passed high school and i got accepted to Cal state fullerton but they wouldn't give me a free ride so now i'm at city college and working at my uncle's hobby shop. so yea...
i'm kinda tired of it. there's like a fight every week and someone gets killed every year over here where i live. kind of lame. i want to move to a place where you don't have to think twice about your actions. anyone have the same problem?Boostinsane
I had your problem, but my parents noticed everything getting worse and worse and knew sooner or later something would happen to us.. soo i was lucky when my parents brought me down south to Florida.

At least you did not drop out. I hope you do well.
Yeah that sucks. I live in a nice suburb outside of Detroit. That place is so ghetto except for a few spots down town. Everyone outside of the city is sick of that place and wishes it would just go away. Detroit is ghetto central.Darthmatt
Same. It's their fault that they had a bad mayor too.

Yeah, and now Detroit has a competent, respectable interim mayor and already people are trying to take him to court over perjury (BS charges BTW). A lot of people in Detroit dont like the guy because he wants to work with the suburbs to make the city better. The last Mayoral election they had, a really smart progressive guy lost against Kwame Kilpatrick because he was viewed as being favored by too many whites in the suburbs. Where Kwame ran on his "I'm your home boy from the streets" campaign and he won. That city is F'ed up.i'm kinda tired of it. there's like a fight every week and someone gets killed every year over here where i live. kind of lame. i want to move to a place where you don't have to think twice about your actions. anyone have the same problem?Boostinsane
you live in a safe place if one person gets killed every year where you live.
I don't live in the ghetto, but everytime I turn on the News, they report about 80 random acts of murder or rape in the Triangle.
I really do not like this place, but it definitely beats a ghetto.
nope, my family did, in California for years getting money, but that was waaay b4 i was born, now we live in the safest place in california :D
Im not kidding
I kinda had to laugh (to keep from crying) at "someone gets killed every year". I am in chicago. 2 people are murdered almost every day. I think it is about 440 for the year so far.TBoogyYeah, lol. That's what I pointed out to him. He far from living in a bad ghetto.
I live outside of the University of Maryland campus so it's pretty ghetto. Luckily most of the kids in my apartments are college kids.
Unfortunately the surrounding neighborhood causes a lot of trouble for us. We've been robbed twice and someone always seems to be getting killed or mugged in our area. I try to stay on campus as much as possible.
