are you to old to play yugioh when your a late teen?

im a late teen and i still play yugioh, i have friends who are the same age and play it as well. I only play it because in a sense i see it similiar to chess and it involves great strategy. like chess it involves strategy, patience and you always have to try to think what your opponent is going to do. So what do you think? am i little to old for this?

EDIT: When answering this question remember that im playing yugioh not only for just the fun behind it but the straetgy. I like challenges and i find in yugioh there is a wide range of rules and strategies (especically with the newer cards)

I never really got into YuGiOh, but if you have fun doing it, you shouldn't let anyone else ruin it.

I still play Pokemon a lot, but it seems like a Pokemon craze has swept over my high school.

I stopped playing when I was 10.. If you actually like the challange why dont you play chess yu gi oh is so much more nerdy than chess

When I was 11 or 12 I felt like I was too old for yugioh. But I guess if you enjoy it, why not.

no i think that is fine, there is no age limit and as long as there are other people you know that play it as well i am sure it would be more accepted. i used to like yugioh but i stopped buying and playing cards a while before "late teens", but that is perfectly fine. the reason people think it is for children probably lies in the animated show, not the cards themselves.

Some people at my university still play Yugioh. Heck, even a friend of mine play with them. I wish I could but I don't have the time for upgrade my deck; I would lose immediately with those synchro monsters. Miroku32

My summer job currently is to take care of 3rd grade kids and only a little group of them play yugioh. The rest sometimes make fun of yugioh.

So yeah, it's nice that you enjoy it, but keep it a bit on the down-low, if you know what I mean :P

yeahh way too old id say. and if youve kept your deck full of rares like mine was waay back in the day you could probably sell it for a ton of cash ;) and that woud be in turn spent on good things. but whatever floats your boat i think youre too old but its all up tp you

I know people in their late 20's and early 30's who play it. If you like to play it then play it. I don't see any difference between that and the 30+ year old MTG players.
