Its just water and its not like its coming from an unclean source. I can understand being worried about eating food that was once poo but this is meh.

The situation with the astronauts is a bit different because the urine is distilled, but I would think in a survival situation that it would be a lousy idea to drink urine. The salts and urea would probably just make you more dehydrated.

What you need to do is keep in mind that you are not drinking the urine (which contains salts, urea, etc). You are mearly drinking the same water molecules that you've drunk again and again. I'd easily do it, but that is the least of my problems. I'd never have the courage to be an astronaut. I'd freak out before I'd ever leave the ground.JustPlainLucas

Agreed. I couldn't think of a better job honestly. Any cost for sure.

Urine is sterile and relatively clean unless you leave it there for awhile, so it's not that big of a deal.

Just as long I could take golden showers too.
