Im 19 and think about moving out alot but I dont really want roommates. I want to excercise my independence and plus I like my privacy. But right now I just dont see how I can finance bills at this time. I probably could but I would live in at best an apartment barely paying off bills, my girlfriend has suggested moving in together but I know that's a horrible move to make.
Anyway is there an age where you guys would feel too old to still be with your parents? Or for those who left home a little later than most, did it ever bother you seeing people move out alot sooner than you?
I just know I want to be out of my house within the next 5 years, I dont really want to go to school either (college).
Is there here whose made it on their own without school?
18....im moving out for college this year and im not gonna move back home....im gonna move into an apartment my third year in college and just go fromt here

I plan to move out when I finish High School. That high school diploma is my ticket to freedom. For some reason, my school wants to keep me behind so I have to "RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE" to get that diploma. As soon as I get that diploma, I'm moving out (I'm 18 years old right now).

but i know ill end up moving out...so id say around 20....hopefully i live that long... Here's the thing: Doing those would only be tiny chunk of my pure freedom, to gain true independence in life.

i would think it would be EXTREMELY hard to move out of your parents house w/o goin to college....how are u gonna pay for the bills.....hmmm unless you start gettin into the drug business

what the hell are you talking about? People move out without a college education all the time, most of them just get roommates. But other than that minimum wage ensures a person can live on his own, just barely
Moved out last August :D Independence is oh so sweet 8) Btw,if you dont like roomates and cant finance yourself,get a single bedroom apartment,and a job ofcourse :wink:
I left when I was 18 to join the USAF. After that I moved back temporarily a couple times and I realised that I could never live with the parents again without potentially going insane or ruining the relationship.
I moved out a couple of years ago at 18 for College and don't plan on moving back. Our relationship actually improved with the time apart so now I can spend time there more comfortably, but moving back in still wouldn't be a good idea.
