Atheism says were all the same. Religion says were all different,

Athism says we are all the same, we share the same thing, the saving of this planet, the saving of the species. Religion maintains we are all different we serve different gods.

Would it not be better for humanty if we all worked together to improve the world rather then dividing into sects?

i say that that is a gross simplification, and a misunderstanding of both atheism and the fundamental goals of religion...

You need to elaborate more. I'm sure all atheists don't think alike, and I know not all religions teach the same things. And then again not all people of all religions necessarily believe the same thing either. I don't believe either of your assertions.
