When a guy comes up to you and starts talking to you, what do you look for in him that indicates that he is interested in you, and also how can he "get you?" (Like get your num., something like that).

I'd imagine having a Y chromosome would be a good place to start.

I would like it if the guy told me that he's interested in me because you can never really know if a guy is interested in you unless he tells you, sure we can see some signs but we like to be absolutely sure. We can't read minds, if a guy doesn't tell us he's interested then we just think of him as a friend. At least thats how i think :P.

Clean,neat, would be great if he was organized but not to some obsessive complusive degree. Funny, sweet, and honest, doesn't mess around with other girls and is sincere. Financially independant and treats parents with respect.I'd like one of those please. :lol:

How to tell if a guy is interested in me... Hmm to be honest, I can't really tell if a guy is interested in me though. I always assume they're only talking to me because they want to know about my friends.

Kind of hard to say. When I dated men, I went for the ones who didn't make stupid advances and use dumb pick up lines/attempts. Those are the ones that are douches.

A lot of people are saying sincerity, loyalty, humor, genorosity, etc as qualities, but how do you convey those in a first meeting? I mean, when a guy first goes up to a girl (that he's interested in) and talks to her, how he he get her to come back to him or get her number or something? How does he get her interested in him? Well you don't want to make yourself out to be desperate/a douche/an idiot.

I guess I should have said representation and presentation. You want a girl to believe that you are in fact, what you are. Don't dress like an idiot and talk like you're a douche if you want them to think you're a nice guy whos interested. Don't say things like "Hey girl, let me get your digits." I mean sure, people don't really say that anymore, but you want to avoid things like that.

I'd prefer to be friends with/get to know a guy before he'd tell me he's interested. I really can't be interested in dating someone I don't know. And if he wants to go from acquaintance to friend he shouldn't act like a complete idiot during that first meeting. This would include getting drunk, making derogatory comments/names about women, or flirting with every girl in the room. Oh and he can't be wearing those awful baggy pants that expose his fricken' shorts underneath.

I have things I look for too, 'standards' and whatnot, but most guys don't seem to fit what I'd look for if I was looking.
