Not only are youngAmericans who can't afford to pay for health insurrance going to be forced to buy it, they are going to be forced to pay for more than their fare share in order to reduce the costs for older Americans. That's right. Those older Americans who have more stable and much higher paying jobs than younger Americans are forcing younger people with much, muchlower paying and less stable jobs to pay for a large portion of their health insurrance. Seem fair? I don't think so. Not only that, a family of 4 making $66,000 will be forced to pay $6,000 a year for insurrance, even if they live in areas where a family of 4 making $66,000 is barely above the poverty level (near major cities -- trust me, that's not alot of money for a family of that size in many areas).
This is crazy. The only way to make a national health care plan work is to totally scrap the current system and put everyone onthe same non proffitnational system. If we are unwilling to do that, we should not be implementing a system that forces people to pay money they don't have. I hope this loses in court.
