Can you name some? I saw The Wolfman today and it inspired me to create this topic.

[QUOTE="Film-Guy"]My GF dragged me to see that, ugh..If I didn't love movie theater popcorn so much I might have been a little pissed.Valentines day recently. Great cast but my god it was bad. Just as bad as most of Garry Marshal's crappy films.

Shame such a great cast was wasted. It was so generic and cliche.
[QUOTE="kidsmelly"]
Like stated above, Valentines day ... so predictable and lame. Another one I can think of, off the top of my head is burn after reading. They shouldve called it burn after watching, cause thats what I did with the DVD.
Film-Guy
I loved Burn After reading:(
I don't know I just couldn't get into it whatsoever.
hmmmm, 2012 (I don't care how good the special effects were the story sucked. period) wolfman, funny people, um I can't think of anymore right now but there's a million out there.
2012 did suck big time, but I don't consider it to have an all star cast. John Cusack I think he is a so so actor. Woody Harrelson, love the guy best performance in the movie. Then Danny Glover thats about it as star power in that movie that I can think of.

Trust me man, a lot of people hate this film. Even my media teacher hated it, and he is an awesome guy.

Psh, those guys are D-List at best. I saw a movie this year with Robin Williams. The World's greatest Dad and it was actually really good.Enlighten me homie.I'm starting to think that nobody here realizes what an "All-Star" cast is.

Mars Attacks! is awesome. It used to be my favorite as a kid and I still like how goofy it is.Burn after reading was pretty terrible in my opinion. Mars Attacks I believe had a great cast but didn't do very well either. Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny too when I first saw it. It didn't do very well though according to reviews.

Ah, all right, I will blame them.Another bad one with an all star cast is Nine. Not the animated 9, the musical one. It is the first film I have seen where Daniel Day Lewis actually bored me. The songs were mostly crap, the actresses were all underused and some even pointless. Shame too because it had Daniel day lewis, Judi dench, Marion Cotilard, Penelope cruz, Nicole Kidman, Sophie loren and Kate Hudson. The original play with Raul Julia was much better, and the revival with Antonio Banderas was even better. He could actually sing too. What is it with musicals recently having good acting but mostly crappy singing?
I just watched The Invention of Lying and couldn't stand most of it. Tons of cameos in that that sort of boosted the experience (Louis C.K. especially) but the movie was a mess.spazzx625
I think it was advertised wrong as a silly comedy. It had a couple of funny moments but the telling the truth novelty wore off eventually and started to become annoying. I love Ricky Gervais but he tried too hard to make it into a drama that made a comment on society. I did like the cameos though like Phillip seymour hoffman, Christopher Guest, and Edward Norton. Great idea for a film, but the execution was pretty poor.

I loved World's greatest dad. It was such a dark and twisted film that was actually pretty emotional. Robin Williams is great when he wants to be. I think he does drama well, like in One hour photo.

Yeah, it was definitely billed as a comedy...Yet was a poor platform to talk discuss religion being a lie? I have many other complaints, but the story just falls apart on so many levels.Please Log In to post.
