Bands/Artists you think everyone should listen to

So as the topic title says, what bands or artists do you think everyone should give a listen to? Feel free to give some examples of the bands or artists you mention.

Popularity sometimes has a negative a effect on heavy metal music. *cough metallica cough* so I'm more than happy for it to stay underground. That being said, I am waiting any day now for an announcement for a new Amon Amarth CD in the works.

Marilyn Manson and listen to Holywood, Mechanical animals, Antichrist Superstar in that order to understand the story more.

Everyone should listen to Bob Dylan at least once.

Ulver, Devin Townsend, and Tom Waits. I could say more but...meh.

Alice in Chains, Godsmack, Drowning Pool, Nickleback and Creed!!! Say what you want about any of these bands, but the fact is that any one of them could play a live show for 2 hours and it would be like a greatest hits collection!!! They have no bad songs!!

I only liked 'This in Not' by them, but I haven't heard much else.

since jazz and the blues hardly appeal to everyone, i would consider everyone should listen to the white stripes
