A guy gets drunk on beer, climbs on a motorcycle and his female passenger dies in a crash.
His favorite tavern, Fatties on the Lake, plans a fund-raiser.

Yeah this really sucks. I find it disgusting and disappointing.
Also I'm from Wisconsin, this pitiful example of judgement far from represents all of us.
They're giving out free beer to raise money for a guy who killed someone while drunk driving? :| But another thing I want to say is that I don't feel very sorry for the girl who died. She obviously knew he was drunk, and she got a ride from him anyways. Razor-LazorThat's how alcohol affects the brain. Makes people languid. That's why such a repulsive idea ever came to life, let alone put into action. It's embarrassing. Makes me ashamed to be human.

Wisconsin remains the only state in the country where first-offense drunken driving is not a crime.
Wisconsin is the only state in the Union that does not have Felony charges for a third time drunk driver.
Hell no.[QUOTE="Second_Rook"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]
So everyone there condones drunk driving
Jaysonguy
How does everyone at that bar not condone it?
I was feeling like you meant the entire state due to the TCs stupid go Wisconsin insult.Anyone who goes to that party should be ashamed and yes apparently they do, I think the bar should have it's liquor license revoked for the sheer callous nature of what it's doing.

Well thanks factoid, but I did grow up there and that doesn't put you in a position to assume that we are all okay with this kind of thing. Plenty of people push for harsher penalties for DUI, but it's not them who have the final say on changing a law.Exactly. Encouraging poisonous intoxication in remembrance of people who fell victim to that very thing, is a shining example of imbecilic behavior. But what do you expect from a bunch of goof-offs who hang out at bars? The real tragedy here is human ignorance more than anything.Terrible that the bar would raise money for this drunk driver.

The sad thing is the motorcycle he was driving wasn't his.I bet she was drunk too. But seriously, why support the killer and not the victim?
After the accident, he left the hospital and went back to drinking before the police got him. What does that tell you? He's an alcholic and a murder. Give him life!
